Fishing in 75' on Columbia River just east of Crow Butte Park. Had just adjusted trolling speed to compensate for the wind coming from the West. Pulling a handmade harness I had just tied today behind on 8# leader behind a 3oz bottom walker. Thought I had hooked bottom and then the fight started. It took about 15 minutes to get it up to the surface. Thought it was a small sturgeon at first until I got it closer and realized it was monster Walleye. It weighed 18.7# and the state record for Washington is 19.3 set in 2007. Pretty sure this is the second biggest Walleye caught in the state!
